Frédéric is a passionate designer who is eager to learn new things related to design, technology, mobile apps and the latest trends in general. He started designing websites about 9 years ago. This resulted in a freelance career. Mobile app design challenged him to quickly learn how to work with new devices, UI patterns, etc. Frédéric is active in the web and mobile design industry which makes him employable in a wide variety of branches, companies and projects.
Frederic was leading product design at Nectar Financial and hired me and another product designer to join forces on the designing the wealth manager of the future. Constantly advocating for user needs, getting to the bottom of complex problems in the financial industry and pushing for innovative user interface design. Fred has a can-do-attitude and can inspire a team to follow. He is extremely fast in producing designs and has the skills and experience to communicate and collaborate effectively with C-level management, product owners and developers.. I got to know Frédéric as a very skilled, hands-on and driven designer. He continuously seeks to expand his skills and takes inspiration from his environment. As Product Owner of a software that Fred was Lead Designer for, I had the pleasure of working closely with him. He is an upbeat self-motivator and multi-tasker and a skilled designer who added an awful lot to our team in terms of his skillset, personality & drive. He constantly questions and challenges both himself and those around him and keeps his finger on the pulse of new design trends and methodologies. Using the design thinking methodology, we start with empathising with the end user, identifying problems and ideating ideas to be mapped out on a user flow. Next we build a prototype to test, improve and validate together with the user.
Wireframes are used to show how the design will function, prototyping makes them come to life. Interaction is expressed between element animations and transitions. Design patterns and behavioural psychology is used to perform design audits
It’s hard to get the details right, but I can manage myself in HTML and CSS. While I’m not an expert, I was always very interested how code works. No-code tools like Webflow allow me to transfer design to a website (like this one!)
Face to face or video screen research can be very helpful to dive into the world of the customer. To understand their pain points we conduct interviews, usability or user tests and create personas and user journeys.
Reaching out to a large section of our potential users and look at their behaviours and goals. Commonly this is used for surveys and unmoderated online testing around functionality or information hierarchy.
Through a workshop we get the team more involved in ideating or discovery and work towards one goal or outcome. We use Prioritisation, critique or goal mapping to create direction and move forward.

To enhance user experience , boost performance, and implement advanced security features we build a React Native mobile app. This app allows users to trade cryptocurrency securely while on the go. I was the lead designer on this project and drove the project forward including: Organizing a 2-day design sprint workshop, creating wireframes and prototypes, and conducting usability testing.
Together with the product team we created a transactional business model based on user needs. I was responsible for creating alignment through facilitating design thinking workshops and transforming ideas and sketches into clickable prototypes that were tested with users.
